Forgiving others is something many, if not all, of us were taught. However, some people never really learn to forgive themselves. I believe that learning to forgive yourself is crucial for recovery, as well as improving and growing in every walk of life. Can you forgive yourself?

Many of us seem to think that the steps for recovery are only for those afflicted with the Disease of Choice. I think however, that they can be used by anyone and everyone to help improve their lives and those around them. What are your thoughts on the steps and who can use them?

The Men of Nehemiah is a fantastic place for those that are afflicted with the Disease of Choice. It helps rebuild families, restore a person to the better version of themselves, and so much more. If you know someone that needs a place to go and get some of the best help out there, visit their page and check out their Youtube overview video that breaks down the program. If it can help me, it can help you or a loved one too.

Anger is a human emotion that we all feel. Sometimes this doesn’t lead to good life decisions and can make us act in a way that we don’t want to, sometimes regretting our actions and words. For an Afflicted One, anger can turn into a resentment, and resentments spell the death for an Afflicted One. What we can do about our anger is entirely up to us.

I Swear I’ll Stop... Tomorrow
Sunday May 14, 2023
Sunday May 14, 2023
Those that suffer from The Disease of Choice have lost their choice to use or not use, entering a strange paradox. When this solemn oath is said; they usually mean it, but they can’t seem to stay stopped. The reason isn’t because they are lying, it’s because their brain justifies using again for any reason. This paradox comes when they truly want to stop, but they can’t.

Wallowing carries a negative connotation now-a-days, but has it always been so? I believe there is a proper way to wallow, and we’ve been looking at it incorrectly for awhile now. With the surge of self-help culture becoming prominent, let’s look at how to properly wallow, and think about the good it can actually do.
