I’ve Got Two Brains?!? with Dr. Schiffer
Saturday Nov 30, 2024
Saturday Nov 30, 2024
Welcome Dr. Schiffer to Retrieving Sanity!
Dr. Schiffer is on a mission to help people understand their anxiety, addiction, and trauma and to offer them an effective method to improve their well-being. His breakthrough methods have been tested in research studies at Harvard and have garnered great results.
In his transformative new book, Goodbye Anxiety, Depression, Addiction, and PTSD: The Life-Changing Science of Dual Brain Psychology, Dr. Schiffer shares an in-depth look at the science behind Dual-Brain Psychology treatments while offering practical tips and tools to try it for yourself. His book also reveals the many triumphs of patients who have had their lives forever changed by his work.
Dr. Schiffer’s 2021 study, supported by the National Institutes of Health and the National Institutes on Drug Abuse, found that Unilateral Transcranial Photobiomodulation–a Dual-Brain Psychology treatment–is safe and very effective for reducing opioid cravings. They also found that in those patients who were using, the active treatment significantly decreased their use.
Through his groundbreaking work using Dual-Brain Psychology, he has helped patients dealing with trauma with the concept of two minds competing for dominance - an immature, childlike mind and a mature, adult mind - each associated with one brain hemisphere. When the immature and troubled half of the brain is treated properly, Dual-Brain Psychology techniques can successfully curb anxiety, depression, addiction, and PTSD to improve the patient's psychological health.
